Well, I can’t hardly blame the daylight savings thing for missing Trower’s birthday by a whole week! Pretty lame, I know.

RT was born March 9, 1945. Put that in your calendars kids so that you can remind me next year– like a day or two before, ok.

Our featured tune here is probably the “snakeyest” is that a word? Trower number there is. Shame the Devil is from Trower’s third album titled For Earth Below, which followed the legendary Bridge of Sighs album sometime around ‘75.

This tune is a major lesson in monster groove. Anyone who can cop it is a real sick puppy indeed. And speaking of sick, you wouldn’t wanna have this on the iPod while riding that carnival ride called The Zipper. Y’know which ride I’m talkin’ about? Trower may have done this on his 65th birthday. Except he probably took this Strat aboard the Zipper wireless, and played Shame the Devil.
